Hi friends,
We're back from summer recess and ready for another year of celebrating our communities and learning through the arts. Many of the educators and students we’ve met along the way are back in school, and we wish you all an impactful, fun, and safe school year.
As a reminder, our grants are for artists and educators with ideas for social impact, civic engagement, and have a hands-on component for participants. Tell an artist to tell a friend to tell a teacher, and so on!
Our September grantee is Partners for Historical Justice (PHJ), a collaborative group leading efforts to research, educate, and remedy legacies of historical injustice. PHJ has developed a fascinating learning guide focused on sculptures, murals, and art installations around DC. Some of the photos and prompts included in the learning guide are housed on our website blog – take a look, like, comment and share!
