Swamp Heat’s Out, Inspiration’s In!

Well, an end to the swamp heat is in sight! We hope you had a summer full of adventures, and are looking forward to fall. Stay creative, Be Kind!

The application portal is open! We award grants to education and community-forward art initiatives in and around the D.C. metro area.

But first, review our FAQ page and check out our previous grantees to make sure your idea is a good fit!

Grantee Going-Ons ...

AS WE ARE, a series of therapeutic art-making sessions for BIPOC folk, concluded in June ...

The 'As We Are' community has become a deeply reflective and grounding space for those it serves. It represents a vital part of my work as an Art Therapist, and Tour de Force's investment has played a meaningful role in making it all possible in this second program cycle. – Imani Shanklin Roberts (February 2025 Grantee)

The community mosaic project facilitated by WHIMSY MOSAICS is currently housed at the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission Headquarters in Wheaton, MD ...

The mosaic piece is at a temporary location until renovations at Brookside Gardens are complete. We're happy for it to be somewhere that the public can enjoy! – Ge'Vonna Keyes, (April 2025 Grantee)

We attended Precious Jewel’s listening party for her debut EP, PENSIVE POETICS. Precious Jewel performed the first track on the album, Psalms, at our Tour de Force 3-Year Anniversary.

Thank you Tour de Force so much for your continued support and belief in my visions as it relates to my music. My gratitude is beyond words! I appreciate you all! – Precious Jewel
