Kristen Murray Roosevelt S.T.A.Y: D.C. Public School Art Studio renovation

I am a DCPS HS art teacher serving an underserved and overly talented population. We have just moved into a new building with very limited supplies. We are currently in the process of renovations that are going incredibly slowly. In an effort to make our new space our own, the students have been assigned the task of designing their learning space. They do this by not only displaying their artwork throughout the building, but also painting the walls themselves. While this project has helped our students see themselves within their learning community, this has been very difficult to do with a lack of supplies. We need paint, brushes, ladders, and other basic art equipment to beautify our space. Any supplies support would be appreciated!
